Mateo Delaguila is the entrepreneurial mastermind behind Locol and Co-Host of the popular podcast The Young Entrepreneur’s Bible. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, Mateo was exposed to the world of small business from an early age, thanks to his family’s entrepreneurial background. Driven by a passion for business, Mateo set his sights on creating his own enterprise and pursuing a degree in government at the University of Texas at Austin, initially with the intention of becoming a lawyer.
However, fate had a different plan for Mateo when he landed an internship at Place Technology, where he was mentored by the accomplished multi-time founder, Brandon Metcalf. Alongside his internship, Mateo took entrepreneurship classes and witnessed firsthand how the concepts he learned in the classroom were being applied in the real world. This experience sparked the creation of Locol, a groundbreaking digital freelance marketplace that connects student freelancers to small businesses.
In addition to his role at Locol, Mateo founded the Young Entrepreneur’s Bible to provide a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn from successful business owners and gain valuable insights on launching their own companies. When he’s not busy running his startup or filming his podcast, Mateo enjoys staying fit, listening to music, and spending quality time with his furry feline friend, Sweetie.
